Calvin Harris has received a Guinness World Records title for the largest attendance at a DJ set by a single artist. An estimated 1.6 million people watched the Scottish producer perform from a carnival float on Rua da Consolação in São Paulo in February 2026.

The appearance was Harris's first performance in Brazil in more than a decade. His set included major releases such as This Is What You Came For, One Kiss, I Need Your Love and We Found Love, presented to a crowd that filled one of the city's central routes during carnival.

Guinness officially recognised the achievement on September 20. The organisation's adjudicator highlighted both the size of the audience and the international reach of Harris's music. The artist marked the announcement by sharing crowd footage and images of a customised Brazil shirt bearing the name Calvinho.

Beyond the number itself, the record reinforces Brazil's position as one of the world's largest public stages for electronic music. The scale of a free urban carnival performance is different from a ticketed festival or club event, but it demonstrates how DJ culture can move into civic space and reach an audience comparable to the biggest gatherings in popular music.
